This Victorian sword pin is such a wonderful period piece. It is made from 14k yellow gold and blue enamel. There are no makers marks. The number 7504 is scratched under the sword hilt (probably for insurance purposes at some time). This pin measures 5 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inches at its widest point and weighs 9.2 dwt. You pull the sword out of its sheath, put the sword through your clothes and slide the sheath back onto the sword and the pin is held in place! There is some slight chipping on the enamel in a few places all else is perfect. Since the enamel is pale blue, to me the chips are not that eveident, however it needed to be mentioned.
