This charming handbag is antique circa early 1900's. It's fashioned from what I think is silver plated metal. It's stamped inside "Alpacca Germany" and has a makers stamp which looks like initials with x's below. The inside is gold plated metal and there are three compartments,one of which is celluloid covered that was for cigarette's, very little cigarette's! The body of the purse measures 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches, the tassel is 1 1/2 inches long and the chain handle is 13 inches long. The condition is very good with no dings, etc. Someone did cleaned the inside compartments so some of the gold plating is missing.
