This beautiful necklace was never worn and is circa 1970s or 1980s. It is new old stock of salt water pearls. There are 100 pearls in this necklace and they measure 8 to 8 1/2 mm in size, have a creamy color with a slight rose cast. The luster is high and the nacre is thick for a beautiful look. The pearls are excellently matched. The necklace length is 18 inches included the clasp so it is choker length. The clasp is 18k yellow gold and has twelve round brilliant cut diamonds for a total weight of .12 ct. The diamonds are I1 clarity and H-I color. The clasp is stamped on the back CH K18750.
