These wonderful gloves are antique circa 1900's. They are from the Edwardian period and are made from Chamois. There are many markings stamped on the inside of them and although some are hard to read and I may get some letters/numbers wrong, I want try as it may be interesting to some collectors. One glove reads "Made in France, 6W, 39". In the other it reads "Trefirisseob,Chamont,Hors Conbours,Paris 1900 Uege 1905 Canes 1903,Grand Prix,Paris 1889 St Louis 1904,Lonares 1908". The gloves are fawn colored, measure 23 inches long and 2 3/8 inches across at the middle of the hand. Other than the length, these gloves look as if they were made for a child as the hand and fingers are very long but THIN. The three buttons are mother of pearl. They are still in very good condition as they haven't ever been worn. There are two small gold marks on one glove. |
