This fun hat is vintage circa 1970's/80's. It's designed by that famous hat maker Frank Olive and the lable reads "Frank Olive for Bonwit Teller". It's fashioned from black Milan straw which has lightened up over the years so that it appears as a muted black color. The shape reminds me of the shape of hat you see on a french priest and the brim can be slightly turned up or worn down. It measures 21 inches around the inside of the crown, 7 inches across the opening and the brim is 3 inches in the back and 3 3/4 inches in the front. The condition is very good.
