| This beautiful sterling silver locket is circa 1800's. The locket measures 2 1/2 X 1 1/2 inches and the chain measures 17 inches in length and 1/2 inch wide. The locket has makers marks on the back and they are, "M.J.C.". the lion passant," r", and a mark I cannot make out. The locket will hold two pictures (there is no glass or bezel inside the locket). There are two tiny dings in the back of the locket, otherwise it is in great condition. The chain and locket are original to this piece. The chain is silver (unmarked) and the round clasp looks like brass on which the silver plating has worn off. |
