This unusual necklace is vintage circa 1940s/50s. The metal is gold colored and the large scarab is black glass. The necklace meausres 32 inches long including the pendant and drop and the pendant portion is 2 inches wide. There is a mark stamped on the back of the pendant which reads IXEL, there is also a mark which looks like someone tested it with some sort of testing acid (see pictures). This piece is in very good condition and is a bit heavy due to the large glass scarab. You cannot see the scarab carving in my picture but it is there.
