I believe this brooch is vintage circa 1930s or 1940s. It is very unusual and Daliesk. It appears to be a strange clown face with a clear lucite dome over it that magnifies the face somewhat. It is set in what looks like gold plated tin and the ribbon attached appears very old. With all of this said, it is in very good condition.There is a tiny amount of what looks like dried clear glue at the top of the dome. This brooch measures 3 x 1 7/8 inches. My picture makes the lucite dome look blue but it is clear.
